Oscar Brown is a young, talented up-and-coming singer/songwriter/pianist from St Ives, Cornwall who has had multiple plays on BBC Introducing South West and has played lots of live music.
Oscar writes pop/singer-songwriter style music on piano and guitar with his main influences being: Tom Odell, Noah Kahan, Billy Joel and Sir Elton John. He creates beautiful love songs and catchy melodies.
He started performing and releasing music age 12 at his secondary school in Penzance, Cornwall. He went on tour with the school to Italy playing 5 different venues and played lots of gigs throughout his time there.
Having recorded 2 songs in June 2023, he was invited to play the Mandala Stage at Glastonbury 2023. He then also played backstage at the Rabbit Hole and in the Healing Fields. He was interviewed on Glastonbury radio stations Worthy FM and they played his song “Yellow Flowers”. Following these three performances at Glastonbury, he played live on BBC Radio Cornwall and BBC Spotlight TV. He has been interviewed and played on Coast FM and then went on to play Boardmasters 2023 and play at the Birmingham Symphony Hall in the music for youth showcase.
Following that incredible year of music, Oscar had a song reach the top 30 of Song Academy’s Young Songwriter Competition 2024, only to then achieve another dream of his after being a Future Makers Finalist as he got to play his song “Victoria Line” at the Royal Albert Hall in November 2024.
Oscar now attends The Purcell School for young musicians in Bushey. He is studying commercial music alongside his A levels. He continues to learn classical piano and trombone. He plays in session bands, a big band and sings in their chamber choir.
Alongside festivals and public events, Oscar also performs at private functions such as: weddings, parties, etc.
